How to validate contacts emails?

Email verification is an important step in ensuring that your marketing campaigns are successful and that your account remains in good standing. The process of email verification involves checking that the email addresses you have collected are valid and able to receive emails.


There are several reasons why email verification is important. For example, people may provide fake or incorrect email addresses to avoid spam or protect their personal information. Additionally, invalid or disposable email addresses can result in high spam rates or bounces.

EQUP offers an email verification feature that checks email addresses and assigns them different status labels, such as "valid," "invalid," "disposable," "unknown," and "accept all."


  • VALID - An email address that has been confirmed to be a functioning, active email account that can receive messages.

  • INVALID - An email address that has been determined to be incorrect or inactive, resulting in bounced messages.

  • DISPOSABLE - A temporary email account used for temporary purposes, such as avoiding providing a personal email during sign-up processes. Examples include Mailinator, Guerilla Mail, AirMail, and 10 Minute Mail.

  • UNKNOWN - An email address for which we cannot definitively confirm its status, as the domain or server is not responding to our attempts to verify its validity.

  • ACCEPT ALL - A setting where all emails on a specific domain are treated as valid and will be accepted, regardless of their individual status.

To verify emails in EQUP, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the CRM > Contacts page, and click on the "Verify Emails" button at the top right of the page.

  2. On the email verification page, you will see a list of past verification results. To start a new verification process, click on the "Validate Records" button at the right side of the page, or the "Verify Emails Now" button at the top notification bar.

  3. A pop-up window will appear, showing you how many contacts need to be verified, how many credits are needed to complete the verification, and how many credits you currently have in your account.

  4. If you do not have enough credits, you can click on the "Add Credits" link to add more to your account. If you have enough credits, click on the "Verify Records" button to start the verification process.

  5. The verification process may take a few seconds to minutes, depending on the number of contacts being verified.

  6. Once the verification is complete, you will see a notification at the top of the page with a "View Results" button. Clicking on this button will take you to a page where you can view the status of each contact and delete any invalid contacts with the "Delete All Invalid Contacts" button.


By following these steps, you can verify the email addresses in your EQUP CRM and ensure that your marketing campaigns reach the right people.
